The A-Z Of Wedding Videos

Every wedding is unique and we are keen to provide you with with a wedding video you will cherish forever. Steve Feeney provides a personal, friendly and flexible service so remember to discuss all your requirements with him.

Initial Contact

When you contact Steve Feeney Productions we will arrange to meet you to discuss your requirements.

At that meeting we will discuss the following:

  • Contact details
  • Date of wedding
  • Location of ceremony
  • Location of reception
  • Contact details for the ceremony and reception locations
  • Obtaining filming permission
  • Which packages and optional extras you want
  • Music choices

Preparation

It is important that we attend any rehearsal that you have arranged. We need to agree camera placements. This is also a good time to confirm what can and cannot be filmed and times of access etc.

We will introduce ourselves to the official photographer before the wedding to ensure that both photographer and videographer (that's us) work smoothly together.

On The Day

Our approach is to capture the atmosphere of the day and we will work as professionally and unobtrusively as we can - it is not always possible to be totally discreet when you are trying to get the best shots for the couple. If you want a different approach then please ask.

We recognise the photographer's role on the day and will work with him/her by taking a 'fly on the wall' approach for the video, capturing the atmosphere and allowing those traditional formal photographs be produced by the photographer.

We do ask the couple to dedicate about fifteen minutes of their time during the day to film quiet and romantic shots. (Couples often value this time as it gives them a reason to catch their breath).

We ask the couple when planning their day to consider timing issues, such as: if we are filming the departure from the church AND the arrival at the reception, the couple may need to take a short detour to allow us time to be ready.

We use radio microphones so that there are no trailing cables.

Normally a crew of two people will be involved on the day.

After The Wedding

Generally, we edit wedding videos in the order they were filmed. Clearly this may take several weeks during the peak wedding season.

Delivery Media

All wedding videos will be produced using our best quality equipment and can be delivered on DVD or VHS if required.
