Act Now To Make A Difference

Whilst generally opposed to any form of parking restriction in residential areas, we do accept that something has to be done about the student parking problem.

We call upon Winchester City Council to amend their proposed parking restrictions in two ways:

  • The restrictions should only apply between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • The restrictions should only apply from Monday to Friday.

You can help by sending Winchester City Council a letter of objection.

You can download a template letter of objection, add your name and address and modify it in any other way to make it represent your views and send it to:

H N Bone,
Head of Legal Services,
Winchester City Council
Council Offices
Colebrook Street
Winchester
SO23 9LJ

Please note that objections will only be received in writing and MUST include your grounds for objecting.

You should also include the following reference:

"The Hampshire (Various Roads, Winchester) (Parking Places and Restrictions of Waiting) (NO.2) Order 2001 (Variation NO.12) Order 2007"
