Copyright is a very complicated issue (some say too complicated). Basically, if someboby else created 'it' you will need their permission to copy it.

Steve Feeney Productions will copy your home movies on the understanding that you have the right to copy them. You will be asked to confirm that the material is yours to copy.

It is illegal to copy commercially bought tapes or videos recorded from the TV or other copyrighted sources without a licence.

In the case of old school production videos it may be possible that the original production house will give consent to make a personal backup. We will attempt to obtain that consent on your behalf but will not copy without it.

In the case of video production (including wedding videos), we will use our best efforts to ensure that consent at each location is obtained in advance of filming and Steve Feeney will ensure that the necessary licences are obtained.

All music used will fall into three categories:

  1. Royalty Free Music bought specifically for the production or taken from our ever growing library.
  2. Commercially available music for which a licence will be required.
  3. Privately recorded music where the composer and performer have given their written consent for the performance to be included in video productions.

Steve Feeney Productions acknowledge the rights of the owners of all original material such as, but not limited to, digital photographs, private video footage, music (whether performed live, as part of a disco or dubbed).
